Beverly Ann Smith

Beverly Ann Smith, 56, of Commiskey, passed away at 5:04 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born May 15, 1963, in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ruby (Reynolds) Smith and the late Bobby Smith.

Beverly was a 1981 graduate of Madison Consolidated Highs School in Madison and attended cosmetology school in Florida. She worked stock and testing for Dorel Juvenile Group in Columbus for 29 years. Beverly enjoyed fishing, camping, family time, puzzle books, popsicles and watermelon.

Survivors include her son, Lester Peacock of Commiskey; daughter, Jessica (Ross) Franklin of Commiskey; mother, Ruby Smith of Commiskey; brother, Richard Smith of Commiskey; grandchildren, Macyleigh Ann Peacock, Kylee Brooke Franklin, Emily Franklin and Mariah Franklin, all of Commiskey, and Emma Sawyer of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Bobby Joe Smith.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, June 24, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery in Jefferson County.
