Billie Jo Goodnough Obituary

Billie Jo Goodnough, 51, of North Vernon, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Born September 17, 1972, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William E. Leasure Jr. and Sabino L. (Isenhart) Leasure. She married Kenneth “Butch” Goodnough in 1990 in North Vernon; he preceded her in death in 2021.

Billie had worked for Decatur Mold in North Vernon and Dough Punchers in Mineral Wells, Texas. She enjoyed watching television and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Billie was always the type of woman to accept anyone and everyone in the family.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony E. (Michelle) Leasure of Louisiana, Jessie Goodnough of Wisconsin, and Dominic Goodnough and Jonathan (Selena) Jackson, both of Parma, Missouri; grandchildren, Eric, Alyssa, Lydia, Zoey, Willow, Lillyianna, Nico, Makayla, Kolton Parks and J.J.; brothers, Joey Leasure of North Vernon and David (Christine) Leasure, Sam Marvin, and Steve Marvin, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sister, Nicole Parker of North Vernon; caregiver, Tessa (Kamren) Parks of Commiskey; and best friend, Nickie McClain.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mikayla Jackson; and brother, Bill Leasure Jr.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Billie through the funeral home to the Wounded Warrior Project.
