Bobby Joe Clements, 75, of Austin, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his residence.
Born February 6, 1950, in Muncie, he was the son of the late Francis and Deloris (Rockey) Clements. He married Katherine Louize Sterrett on November 27, 2021, at Victory Missionary Church in Seymour; she survives.
Bobby worked 23 years as a truck driver for the City of North Vernon Street Department before retiring on March 1, 2012, M&M Trucking in Madison from 2013-2016, and Lifespan Resources as a transport driver from 2019-2021. Before working for the City Bobby worked as a milkman for Butler Dairy. He was a former member of Christ Way Church in North Vernon and attended Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Seymour and Ninevah Neighborhood Church of God. Bobby enjoyed playing euchre, corn hole, poker, and traveling.
Surviving with his wife, Katherine is his son, Billy Joe Clements of Madison; daughters, Dawn (Dennis) Smith of Scottsburg, Debbie (Rob Pedigo) Clements of North Vernon; stepchildren, Gregory Shane Clark of Austin, Michael (Nikolette) Clark of Columbus, and Chrysty (Rick) Black of California; sisters, Carol (Larry) Hayden of Madison, Barbara (Andy) Rue and Patricia (Eugene) Begley, both of Crothersville, Mary Ellen (Raymond) Derringer of Commiskey and Linda Sue Barnes of North Vernon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Marsha Tyler Clements and Cindy Clements; and a infant brother.
The funeral for Bobby will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Jimmy Albertson officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. The burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon.
