Bonnie Ellen Robinson, 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at her residence.
Born January 19, 1953, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara (Hankins) Long. She married Fred Robinson on June 2, 1972, in Friendship, IN. He preceded her in passing on June 22, 2017.
Bonnie was a 1971 Graduate of Brownstown High School and was a member of the Indiana Auctioneer Association. She drove a school bus for Jennings County for 30 years and did housekeeping for Muscatatuck State Development Center, Erlers, and the Jennings County Court House. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends and family, reading, and being outdoors. She loved going to Hardy Lake and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son – Brent (Regenia) Robinson of Linton; daughter – Ellen Robinson (Alex “Buzz” Johnson) of North Vernon; brothers – Tommy Long of Tampico, IN and Jimmy (Deborah) Long of Little York, IN; sister – Susie Jones of Goodletsville, TN; three grandchildren – Alex Robinson of North Vernon, Austin (Anna) Robertson of Dugger, IN, and Devyn Robertson of Linton, IN; two great grandchildren – Brantlee Marksberry of North Vernon and Preslee Cowdrey of Dugger, IN; and several Extended Family Members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; Her parents – James and Barbara; one brother – John Long.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the North Vernon Moose Lodge beginning at 4:30. A private family burial will take place at the Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN, at a later date.
Memorials may be made through the Funeral Home to Riley Children’s Hospital.
