Brenda Woodruff Obituary

Brenda Sue Woodruff, 68, of Columbus, passed away at 5:18 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence.

Born October 11, 1955, she was the daughter of Virgil & Shirley (Alford) Woodruff.

Brenda was 1974 graduate of Jennings County High School and served in the United State Air Force. She worked in Home Health Care for several years with multiple employers. Brenda attended the First Church of the Nazarene in North Vernon. She enjoyed singing, reading, nature, playing banjo and piano and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog.

Survivors include her daughter, Kerry Randall of Columbus; sister, Debbie (Ron) Mays of Vernon; grandchildren, Courtney (Justin) Ponsler and Quinn Randall, both of North Vernon, Gabriel (Ally Brown) Harvey and Ronan Humes, both of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Ponsler, Jasper Ponsler, and Arlo Ponsler, all of North Vernon and Linkin Harvey of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Mike Woodruff.

A memorial service for Brenda will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the First Church of the Nazarene in North Vernon with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be given by members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W. at the end of the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Brenda for expenses.
