Brenda Ann (Green) Wright

Brenda Ann Wright, 70, of Commiskey, passed away at 9:59 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born December 9, 1948, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Robert Allen “Bob” and Evanna E. (Grinstead) Green. She married Ernie Wright on August 15, 1970, in Versailles; he survives.

Brenda was a 1967 graduate of North Vernon High School and delivered mail by vehicle in the Columbus area for several years. She had previously owned Country Delights Restaurant in Commiskey for several years and was a teacher’s assistant at Graham Creek Elementary in Commiskey for several years. Brenda was the organizer for the Commiskey Fall Festival for more than 30 years. She enjoyed babysitting her grandkids and watching them as they played sports.

Surviving with her husband, Ernie Wright, is a son, Gary (Tracy) Wright of Commiskey; brothers, Gary (Marcia) Green and Robert D. (Donna) Green of North Vernon; grandchildren Shelbi (John) Wright of North Vernon, Allie (Bryant) Hoevener of Commiskey and D.J. (Meagan) Schroeder of Scipio; great-grandchildren, Gemma Schroeder, Tinley Schroeder, Willow Schroeder, and Myles Schroeder, all of Scipio, Bryar Hoevener of Commiskey, and Tatum Grimes of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Allen Green; and granddaughter, Morgan Lyn Wright.

A funeral service for Brenda will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
