Carol J. (VanKuren) Bailey

Carol J. Bailey, 86, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at her residence.

Born January 8, 1934, in Hornell, New York, she was the daughter of Harry and Laura (Grisewood) Olsowsky. She married Isaac Bailey Sr. on October 22, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee; he survives.

Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, doing word search puzzles and putting puzzles together.

Surviving with her husband Isaac are sons, Dennis (Deb) Krawczyk of Warsaw, New York, Tim (Dorene) Krawczyk of Elizabethtown, and Isaac (Tammy) Bailey Jr., of Deputy; daughters, Melody Arbuckle and Cindy (Ron) Summerfield, both of North Vernon; brother, Ronnie VanKuren of Hideaway, Texas; sisters, Joyce (Bill) Sager of Castile, New York, Bonnie (Paul) Rogers and Sandy Barber, both of Bliss, New York;  twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph VanKuren and William Olsowsky; and grandson, Craig Allen Coons.

In keeping with the family’s wishes cremation is planned with no service at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon was entrusted with the care of arrangements.
