Cathy Lynn (Williams) Wells

Cathy Lynn Wells, 74, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:11 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born April 21, 1950, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Wise) Williams. She married Dale Wells on July 3, 1983, in Louisville, Kentucky; he survives.

Cathy was a 1968 graduate of Shelbyville High School and was a homemaker and housewife. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Shelbyville and of the Baptist Faith. Cathy enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, gardening and working in her yard.

Surviving with her husband, Dale; are her sons, Mike (Stephanie) Robbins of Shelbyville; her daughters, Angie (Todd) Roberts of Florence, Kentucky and Tina (Paul) Larrison of Tennyson; stepson, John Wells of Shelbyville; brothers, Roger Williams of Connersville and Robert Spillman of Shelbyville; sisters, Julie (Skip) Gilley of Fountaintown, Sherrie Jessup and Colleen Huseman, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Shayne Robbins of Manilla, Teirstynn Roberts of Newport, Kentucky, Nicholas Roberts of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Faith Roberts, Halleigh Roberts, Kirsten Roberts, all of Florence, Kentucky and Jarrod Singleton of Shelbyville; and great-grandchild, Marleigh Singleton of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, John Williams and Gerald Spillman; sisters, Helen Fry, Debbie Briggs, Frances Harpring, Darlene Patterson and Beverly Williams; and grandchildren, Cindy Dawn and Tisha Lynn Larrison.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Knights of Columbus, 413 E. South St., Shelbyville. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services were entrusted with the care of arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Cathy through the funeral home to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Riley Hospital for Children.
