Charles Edward Goodwin

Charles Edward Goodwin, 68, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born January 1, 1956, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Everett and Ruth (Cobb) Goodwin.

Charles worked security for Patty’s Show Club in Indianapolis for several years. He enjoyed fishing, tractors, doing yardwork, dogs, working on cars, and watching YouTube videos.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann King of North Vernon; son, C.J. Goodwin of Lansing, Michigan; daughters, Angel Goodwin of North Veron and Jessica (Michael) Goodwin of Ingalls; sister, Judy Babb of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Shylo, Wyatt, and Jayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Goodwin; and sister, Darlene Vogel.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Charles through the funeral home for expenses.
