Charlotte Jean Pickett, 93, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:37 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
Born July 24, 1931, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Claude Roscoe and Inez Marie (Wires) Harding. She married Vernon Milton Pickett on June 24, 1949, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on February 7, 2018.
Charlotte was a graduate of North Vernon High School in 1949. She worked on the assembly line for General Motors in Kokomo for 19 years. Charlotte was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Vernon and a 72-year member of North Vernon Chapter #183, Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Maureen) Pickett of Kokomo and Gary (Yan) Pickett of Bunker Hill; her daughters, Marilyn Gipson of Boston, Massachusetts, Linda (Dan) Randall of Kokomo, Diana (Doug) Stevens of Springfield, Ohio, and Debbie (Mark) Deisch of Kempton; brother, Donald Harding of North Vernon; sisters, Carolyn Davis of North Vernon and Nancy (Brant) Rusk of Carrollton, Kentucky; grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Cosier of Boston, Massachusetts, Ashley (Cory) Coykendall of Greenwood, Brad (Becky) Stevens and Katy (Mike) Ferrell, both of Springfield, Ohio, Jordan (Ambrosia Rimmer) Pickett of Bunker Hill, Joshua (Beth) Pickett of Kokomo, Jennifer (Tom Herald) Pickett of Indianapolis, Amy Pickett of Brownsburg, Jarred (Jasmine) Pickett of Phoenix, Arizona, Heath ( Elizabeth) Pickett of Kokomo, Darcey Deisch of Hutto, Texas, Lauren (Kyle) Walters of Kirkland, and Tanner Deisch of Greensboro, North Carolina; and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Robert and Harold Harding; sister, Helen Whisman; and daughter-in-law, Monica Pickett.
A funeral service for Charlotte will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. The visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Charlotte to the First Baptist Church in North Vernon.
