Cheryl A (Green) Gee

Cheryl A. Gee, 73, of Seymour, passed away at 2:19 p.m. on February 27, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born May 15, 1951, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Donald Green and Rudy Lois (Rife) Hargraves. She marred Marvin “Gary” Gee on May 17, 1980, in Hamilton, Ohio; he preceded her in death on June 27, 2013.

Cheryl worked as supervisor/manager for McDonalds in North Vernon for 8 years and had previously worked 1 year for Arby’s in North Vernon. She worked in different restaurants and factories. Cheryl was a life member of Amvets. Her enjoyments were jewelry making, plastic crafts, crocheting, sewing, gardening and cooking. Chery loved spending time with family and most importantly she loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Rickey Viles Sr.; her daughter, Carol (Estel) Smith; grandchildren, Rickey Viles Jr., Kristina Viles, Angel Smith, Kaitelyne Smith, Patrick Viles, Tristen Bland, and Candice Bland; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; stepfather, Harry Hargraves; brothers, Donald, Dalas, James and Larry Green; and sisters, Delma Pure, Donna Farmer, Hazel Jons, and Barbara Green.

In keeping with Cheryl’s and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials in honor of Cheryl may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
