Cheryl Vivienne Money

Cheryl Vivienne Money, 74, passed away on June 27, 2021, at her home in North Vernon.

Mrs. Money taught English / Language Arts at Jennings County Middle School and North Vernon Junior High for 33 ½ years, retiring in 2008. She graduated from Vernon High School in 1964, from Purdue University in 1968 and received her Master’s Degree from Indiana University in 1972.

Cheryl was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in North Vernon, Jennings County Retired Teachers Association where she served as secretary, and was a past school board member at Trinity Lutheran High School. Her interests include her three grandchildren and their various activities (including Lutheran Central Library Mamaw and TLHS Golf Mamaw), shopping with her daughter, reading, playing Scrabble, and quilting.

Born on January 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Jesse K. and Sheila Kellar.  She married Michael Money on August 24, 1968. He preceded her in death in September 2011.

Survivors include a son, Ryan (Angie) Money of North Vernon; a daughter, Rachel (Jeff) Lubker of Brownstown; grandchildren Jonathan Keith of Brownstown; Jacob Keith of Indianapolis; and Dana Money of North Vernon; siblings Kenneth J. (Karen) Keller and Jean (Rick) Klene of North Vernon.

Visitation will be at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Tuesday, June 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the church on Wednesday.   Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30th at Lord of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Adrian Krebs officiating. Burial will be at Kellar Cemetery in Brewersville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lord of Life Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran High School.
