Christina Lynn Pate

Christina Lynn Pate, 61, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the Heritage House in Greensburg.

She was born on January 8, 1962, in Indianapolis, to the late Gene and Norma Martin; after Gene’s passing, she was raised by the late Harlan Everett Pate.

Christina was a 1980 graduate of Jennings County High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1980 until 1982. She worked for 8 years at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center until its closing. Christina enjoyed playing bingo and watching soap operas.

She is survived by her son, Jason Magner of Seymour; brothers, Tony (Kathy) Martin of Rocky Top, Tennessee, and Richard Martin and Dean Martin, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Sherryl (Scott) Ramey and Tammy Wilkerson, both of North Vernon; stepmother, Carolyn Pate of North Vernon; grandchildren, Joshua Campbell and Brooklyn Bournak, both of North Vernon, and Arielle Magner of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joshua Bournak; and brothers, Joseph, Eddie, and Robbie Martin.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
