Christine Ellen (Kraut) Deaton

Christine Ellen Deaton, 54, of North Vernon, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born August 3, 1966, in Largo, Florida, she was the daughter of Marjory Ellen (Rizor) Kraut and the late Raymond Thomas Kraut Jr. She married Bobby Deaton Jr. on August 12, 1989, in Largo, Florida; he survives.

Christine was a 1984 graduate of Osceola High School in Seminole, Florida. She worked for the State of Indiana, Indiana State Excise Police, Insurance Secretary and for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. Christine was a member of A.B.A.T.E. and enjoyed camping and crocheting.

Surviving with her husband, Bobby Deaton Jr. are sons, Bobby (Samantha Jo Dangerfield) Deaton III of Fort Wayne and Dylan Deaton of North Vernon; mother, Marjory Kraut of Largo, Florida; brothers, Raymond T. Kraut III of Port Richey, Florida, David (Amy) Kraut of Brooksville, Florida, and Tim (Jennifer) Kraut of New Port Richey, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation is planned with a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Christine through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
