Christopher Scott Kincaid, 48, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Ripley County.
Christopher was born on March 25, 1974, in Madison, he was the son of Gale (Norris) Barnett and the late Lonny Lee Kincaid Sr. He married Rebecca Marksberry on September 1, 2007; she survives.
Christopher was a 1992 graduate of Jennings County High School and received his bachelor’s degree. He served in the US Army for 13 years and the Army National Guard for eight years. He worked as a shop Forman for Baylor Trucking in Milan. Christopher was a member of the Butlerville Masonic Lodge #219 and a member of Lost Berserker’s Motorcycle Group. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his friends, and he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving with his wife, Rebecca Kincaid, are his sons, Chestin Kincaid of North Vernon, Jon (Brittany) Kincaid of Holton, and Derek (Taylor) Marksberry of California; daughters, Hudson (Dalton) Day, Patricia (Matt) Greene, and Savannah Barrett, all of North Vernon, and Abigayle (Dwayne) Chasteen and Alizabeth Kincaid, both of Hayden; mother, Gale Barnett of North Vernon; brothers, Lonny Kincaid Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio and Brant (Melissa) Kincaid of Alberta, Canada; sister, Tonya (Mike) Anderson of North Vernon; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and son, Lance “Lancer” Lanier Jr.
A funeral service for Christopher will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday by members of Butlerville Masonic Lodge #219. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon with military graveside rites by members of Matt Hester Post #2021, V.F.W.
