Christopher Specht, 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:20 a.m. on January 29, 2020, at his residence.
Born June 9, 1953, in Seymour, he was the son of George Leo and Frances (Foster) Specht.
Christopher was a 1971 graduate of Jennings County High School. He worked for Welding & Therapy Supply in Columbus for 10 years and had previously worked for the B&O Railroad for 21 years. He was a life member of National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and Fish Creek Long Rifles. Christopher enjoyed hunting, fishing, history, traveling, watching television, antiques, and flea markets.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher George Thomas (Nina) Specht of North Vernon and Jason Aaron Specht of Trafalgar; sisters, Wanda Booher of Florida, Judy Allee and Susan Poer, both of North Vernon, and Cathy (Dean) Hamner of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Grace Specht, Aiden Specht, and Travis Henderson, all of Hope, and Sammy Egan, Allison Egan, and Americus Henderson, all of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Christina Egan.
Graveside will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020, in the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service was entrusted with these arrangements.
