Christopher Wayne Tippett

Christopher Wayne Tippett, 57, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his residence.

Christopher was born January 31. 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a 1989 graduate of Jennings County High School and served in the United States Air Force.

Christopher worked for Hilex in North Vernon for ten years. He enjoyed riding mountain bikes, camping, and kayaking. Christopher loved being a dad and was an IU Basketball fan.

Survivors include his son, Dylan Tippett of Crothersville; daughters, Tori Tippett of Columbus and Hailey Tippett of North Vernon; brother, Daryl McAlister of Memphis Tennessee; and grandchildren, Ivy Harris and C' Angelo Harris, both of Columbus, and Ahmeria Valentina of Crothersville.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie and his sister, Leighann.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon with military rites performed by Matt Hester VFW Post 2021. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
