Clay Richard Thomas

Clay Richard Thomas, 69, of North Vernon, passed away on March 11, 2023, at his residence.

Born May 22, 1953, in Columbus. 

Clay was a graduate of Jennings County High School. He worked on the railroad in his twenties before going on to work as an electrician for AISIN USA until he retired in 2021.  He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, target shooting, collecting guns, and used to own and breed horses

Survivors include his children, Seth (Mackenzie Wells) Thomas of Newburgh, and Calin Thomas and Chad (Jodie) Kirk, both of North Vernon; brother, Ross Thomas of Columbus; and sister, Faith of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Jean Thomas, and an infant brother, Thomas Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Rudicel Family Event Center, 408 South State Street, North Vernon. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Clay for expenses.
