Codi Dale Brashear

Codi Dale Brashear, 32, of Butlerville, passed away on April 29, 2023, at his residence.

Born January 1, 1991, in Madison, he was the son of Carol Starkey Brashear and the late Jerry Wayne Brashear Sr.

Codi worked for Rose Acres Farms and Martinrea, both in North Vernon. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, cutting wood, music, and attending concerts. Codi loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Brashear of Butlerville; brother, Jerry Wayne (Jordynn) Brashear Jr. of Vernon; sister, Ashley (A.J.) Spicer of North Vernon; grandparents, Raymond and Jesse Zapfe; nephews, Brayden Brashear and Payton Perry, both of North Vernon, Peyton Hall and Kyler Brashear, both of Vernon, and Braxton Brashear of Westport; nieces, Brooklyne Brashear of North Vernon and Bailey Ritz of Columbus; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Travis Brashear; and grandparents.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
