Connis Lee Crawford, 84, of Seymour, passed away at 1:50 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Born April 12, 1940, in Central City, Kentucky, He married Elizabeth Palmer on June 22, 1958, in Monrovia; she preceded him in death on January 9, 2024
Connis worked as a mechanic for Crawford Impurist and Skinners in Indianapolis and owned and operated Crawfords Machinery Movement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his son, Connis Jackson Crawford of North Vernon; daughters, Carol (Estel) Smith of Seymour, Sherri (Will) Fairbrother, Loretta (Doug) Stott and Ashley (Liborio) Sebastion, all of North Vernon; brother, Jerry Huff of Fillmore; sisters, Linda (Joe) Shephard of Florida and Cathy (Marvin) Pennington of Mooresville; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Wayne and Clifton Crawford.
In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned, and no services are to be held at this time. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Connis through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
