Cris Marie (Reynolds) Maddox

Cris Marie Maddox, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born October 10, 1951, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Martha (Mismore) Reynolds.

Cris attended Hoosier Street Pentecostal Church in North Vernon and Club House in Columbus. She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, working word puzzles, and reading the Bible. Cris loved spending time with her grandchildren.  

Survivors include her daughters, Christine (Anthony Schorle) Maddox and Anita (Patrick Sons) Maddox, both of North Vernon, and Linda  Miller of Seymour; brother, Albert Reynolds of Scottsburg; sister, Carolyn (Ralph) Maurer of Seymour; grandchildren, Karlie (Alex) Ritchie of Hope, Kameron Schorle, Patience Schorle, Madison Miller, Kendal Sons, and Shadyn Sons, all of North Vernon, Kiara Walls of Jeffersonville, E. J. Walls of Crothersville, Zoey (Elijah Christenberry) Miller of Paoli, and Nola Sons of Austin; and great-grandchildren, Savanna Warner and Colton Warner, both of Spencer, Gracie Kuhfahl of Hope, Zaeley Spaulding, Rayah Spaulding, and Gracelynn Spaulding, all of Austin, Atlas Walls of Jeffersonville, and Elliot Miller and Josephina Miller, both of Paoli.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alfred Reynolds; granddaughter, Savannah Kidwell; great-grandson, Zayden Miller; and son-in-law, Joseph Miller.  

A funeral service for Cris will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Jill McIntosh officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made in honor of Cris through the funeral home for expenses.
