Cynthia Jean "Cindy" (Strope) Lee

Cynthia Jean “Cindy” Strope Lee, 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Community Hospital South in Greenwood.

Cindy was born on November 15, 1956, in Seymour, the daughter of the late John and Virginia (Lee) Strope.

Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Jennings County High School and received an CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) from Ivy Tech Community College. She was a Patient Service Representative for Ascension Medical Group St. Vincent Jennings and was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Cindy enjoyed watching movies and plays, reading, arts and crafts especially scrapbooking, and gardening. She was an avid bicycle rider and loved spending time with her family, friends, and her cats.

Surviving are her son, Kevin Lee of North Vernon; daughters, Erin (Robert Brooks) Lee of Selma, Texas and Rachael Lee of North Vernon; brothers, David (Kian) Strope of North Vernon and Mark (Robbin) Strope of Commiskey; sisters, Clare Metcalfe of Louisville, Hope (David) Elliott of North Vernon, and Mary (Michael) Marks of Marietta, Ohio; grandchild, Mylee Jean Miller of North Vernon; and nieces and nephews, Kyle Elliott of Camby, Quintin Strope and Steven Lewis, both of North Vernon, and Shelly Poole of Osgood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother in-law, Wynn.

A Closing prayer for Cindy will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
