With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dalton Kody Craig, who left this world far too soon on September 5th, 2025. Dalton was a bright light and full of laughter and life.
Born on October 11th, 1993. He brought joy from the very beginning. He had a smile that could turn your whole day around and a heart big enough to hold everyone he loved. His friendships were deep and loyal. His family meant everything to him, and he loved spending time with them. His presence made every gathering better. Dalton graduated in 2012 from Jennings County High School where he ran track.
Dalton enjoyed reading books and horoscopes. He enjoyed gardening, starting plants and pressing flowers. He loved making people laugh and giving people creative gifts and making crafts. His hugs were healing, and his absence leaves an ache that words can’t express.
Dalton is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leslie and Bill Bragg, of North Vernon; his siblings, Gwenndelynn (Blake) Deiters of Plainfield, Keldon (Shania) Bragg, Peyton Bragg, and Charlee Bragg, of North Vernon; nephews and nieces, Gavin Richard of Florida, Hadleigh Richard, of Plainfield, Brixton Bragg, Beckham Bragg and Wrenley Hersley, all of North Vernon; his grandparents, Rob and Deb Ramey of North Vernon; grandmother, Pat Green of Madison; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Craig, grandparents, Thomas and Grace Ramey and grandfather, Ronnie Craig.
A celebration of life for Dalton will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the North Vernon Moose Lodge Family Center, 2765 N. State Highway 3, North Vernon, Indiana. The family requests those attending bring a favorite picture or memory to share.
