Daniel Edward Halfacre

Daniel Edward Halfacre, 63, passed away May 17th, 2022, at 11:30 p.m.  He was married to Shawn Halfacre September 11, 1998.  They have 2 children, Daniel Halfacre II of North Vernon, IN and Vicki Gaines of Plainfield, IN.  He also has a granddaughter, Emily Marie (10), and a grandson, Elijah Edward (8), and a son in-law, Daniel Tanner.  He was born in Hyden, Kentucky to Edward and Edra Halfacre on November 17th, 1958. He has three brothers and two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.   Daniel and his brothers owned Halfacre Mobile Home Service and he performed this line of work for over 30 years.  He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  Daniel loved to talk to people and never knew a stranger. If anyone ever needed anything, Daniel was sure to help them out.  He also loved to garden and being outdoors.  He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and an all-around beautiful person.

A funeral service for Daniel will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery, Sand Creek Township in North Vernon. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Memorials may be made in honor of Daniel through the funeral home to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
