Daniel "Danny" Mark Pittman

Daniel Mark “Danny” Pittman Sr., 67, of North Vernon, passed away on March 8, 2023, at his residence.

Born June 15, 1955, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Alford and Elizabeth “Betty” (Wienke) Pittman.

Danny was a self-employed construction worker and was a masterful woodworker who loved hunting, fishing, and his dog best friend, Jock.

Survivors include his sons, James Pittman and Daniel (Heather) Pittman Jr, both of North Vernon; daughter, Abbie (John) Vonderwell of Tennessee; brother, Michael (Johnny Harper) Pittman of Ponte Vedra, Florida; sister, Sherrie (Kurt) Howard of North Vernon; grandchildren, Isaac (Hannah) Vonderwell, Zane Vonderwell, Sylvia Vonderwell, Jackson Vonderwell, Brittany Pittman, Tyler Pittman, Noah (Julia) Pittman, Ayden Pittman, Ethan Pittman, Mason Pittman, and Haley Pittman; great-grandchildren, Audrey Lynn, Sawyer, Bentley, Brynnlee and Evelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Pittman.

A memorial service for Danny will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dale Boyd and Michael Pittman officiating.  The celebration of life and sharing will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. Interment will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
