Danny Allen “Salty Dog” Redding, 62, of Madison, passed away at 3:41 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at his residence.
Born February 18, 1958, in Indianapolis, he was the son of James Redding and the late Margaret (Finley) Redding. He married Kelsie Sweany on June 21, 2020, in Butlerville.
Danny was a self-employed concrete contractor and worked for Dave O’Mara. He was a member of Worship Center in North Vernon and Phoenix Motorcycle Club. Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, racing, playing pool, and listening to music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving with his wife, Kelsie, are son, Noah Redding of Madison; stepsons, BJ Littrell, Clayton Littrell and Adam Littrell all of Madison; father, James (Dee) Redding of North Vernon; brothers, Donald Stewart and Marvin (Vicki) Reffett, both of Madison; sister, Penny of North Vernon; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his son, Robert Redding.
A funeral service for Danny will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Danny to help with expenses.
