Darren Michael Leveridge

Darren Michael Leveridge, 50, of Commiskey, passed away on April 6, 2025, at his residence.

He was born January 14, 1975, in Columbus, the son of Carol Galliher Leveridge and the late Daryl Leveridge.

Darren graduated from Jennings County High School in 1993. He was employed at Valeo in Seymour for five years and had previously worked for Pepsi Cola for 20 years and Wal-Mart Distribution, both in Seymour. He was a member of Commiskey Baptist Church. Darren enjoyed fishing, yardwork, and going to the boat. He was an “Old Soul” who loved family time, listening to old stories and visiting with friends.

Survivors include his mother, Carol Leveridge of Commiskey; brother, Travis (Kristina) Williams of Columbus; sisters, Lisa (Robert) Maschino of Hayden and Lora (Jamey) Scruggs of Commiskey; nephews and nieces, Lexi (Gage) Mings and Luke (Alexa Boyd) Ownbey, both of North Vernon, Maddy Ownbey of Hayden, James Landon Scruggs and William Carter Scruggs, both of Commiskey, and Aubrey Hernandez and Bria Williams, both of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daryl on February 3, 2001.

A funeral service for Darren will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Darren to Commiskey Baptist Church, Montgomery Township Fire and Rescue or Lovett Township Volunteer Fire Department.
