David Mark Dreibelbis

David Mark Dreibelbis Sr., 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:04 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born July 10, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John and Violet (Griffith) Dreibelbis. He married Melinda Marvin on October 9, 1999, in Columbus; she survives.

David worked as a welder for GT Industries in Jennings County, and retired from various hospitals in Indiana, where he worked as a Bio Med Technician. He enjoyed working on projects, building things, being outdoors, farming, and attending car shows. David loved God, life and being with his family.

Surviving with his wife Melinda. are sons, Paul Dreibelbis of Elizabethtown and David Mark (Michael Heerkens) Dreibelbis Jr of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Julia (Derrick) Robertson of Butlerville; parents, John and Violet Dreibelbis of Erie, Pennsylvania; brother, John (Betsy) Dreibelbis of York, Pennsylvania; sister, Virginia (John) Rhinerson of Conneaut, Ohio; and grandchildren, Nicholas Robertson, Andrew Robertson, and Levi Robertson, all of Butlerville, Caleb Wheeler and Rose Dreibelbis, both of Taylorsville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral service for David will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. David Marvin officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.

Memorials may be made in honor of David through the funeral home to American Cancer Society.
