David M Foster

David M. Foster, 81, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:18 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at his residence.

Born July 14, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late, Benny Foster and Stella (Spear) Foster Miller.

David was 1965 graduate of Wart High School in Gary. He worked as a mechanic for Honda & Kawasaki Dealer in Gary and in South Haven, before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed recreational shooting, boating on Lake Michigan, being in or near the water, and working on computers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Foster; his mother and stepfather, Stella and Calvin Miller; brother, Mike Foster; and a sister, Gail Foster Moller.

In keeping with David’s wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Memorials in honor of David may be made through the funeral home to St. Vincent DePaul.
