David "Beaver" Russell William Streepy

David “Beaver” Russell William Streepy, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2025, in Florida at the home of his brother. 

Born December 22, 1964, he was the son of Richard Streepy and Barbara (Tomey) Streepy.

David was a graduate of Jennings County High School. David was a God-fearing man and loved the Bible. He enjoyed campfires, being outside, working in the garage, carpentry, driving his truck, and was very social and enjoyed talking to everyone.

Survivors include his daughter, Savanna (Seth) Young of North Vernon; brother Mark Streepy of Manatee, Florida; sisters Deborah Fowler of Indianapolis and Sheryl Roberts of Coal City, grandchild, Lilac Young of North Vernon; nephews, Erick Roberts of Coal City, and Robertson "Robbie" Fowler IV of Indianapolis; and nieces, Misty Hill of Brazil, Amy Brown and Vickie Roberts, both of Burnett and Christina "Christie" Fowler of Indianapolis. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for funeral expenses.

A funeral service for David will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Pastor Ricky Persons officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
