Debra Jean (Lawson) Thompson

Debra Jean Thompson, 58, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at her residence.

She was born, April 16, 1962, at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Shirley (Lewis) Lawson.

Debra was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness in North Vernon and enjoyed playing games on her phone, watching movies, being outdoors, swimming, and nature.

She is survived by her children, Shirley Ann-Marie “Sammie Jo” (Thomas) Aumann of North Vernon and Shannon Renea Lawson of Indianapolis; siblings, Dennis (Lynn) Lawson of Colorado, Richard (Beth) Lawson and Joyce (Paul) Thompson, both of Indianapolis, Joseph Lawson Jr. of North Vernon, and Paul Lawson of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Shantasia Payne and Destiney Lawson,  both of Indianapolis, Thomas (Hanna) Aumann III, Jeremy Aumann, and  Louis Aumann, all of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Talia Aumann and Isabella Aumann both of North Vernon, and Jazmin Aumann of Indianapolis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Debra through the funeral home to help with expenses.
