Dennis "Dink" Allen Murrell

Dennis Allen “Dink” Murrell, 54, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born October 24, 1964, in Columbus he was the son of Lena (Gibson) Murrell and the late, Ralph Murrell. He married Nicole Good on April 15, 1994; she survives.

Dennis worked as a farm hand for Triple S Ranch in North Vernon for 15 years and had previously worked for Tenna Corporation in Columbus as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering.

Survivors with his wife, Nicole Murrell are sons, Elijah Murrell, John Hemenway and Michael (Chasity) Norris all of North Vernon, and Ethan Ellis of Florida; daughters, Kelsey “Miles” Murrell and Farrah Hemenway of North Vernon; mother, Lena Murrell of North Vernon; brothers, James Harold Murrell of Boonville, Kentucky and Billy Wayne (Leesa) Murrell of Vallonia; sisters, Carolyn (Frank) King of Colorado and Pam Israel of Tennessee; grandchild, Caliya Murrell of North Vernon; nephews, Jarod Scales and Jason (Sharese) Hill  both of Columbus, Brent King of Colorado, Brian Murrell of Vallonia, Tyson (Arianne) Seniours, Martel Shelley and Ryan Shelley all of North Vernon; nieces, Chastidy Harvey of Greensburg, Christina (Christopher) Manning of Commiskey, Leann Scales of Elizabethtown and Renea Scales of Indianapolis; and the “Poer Family”.  

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Mike Murrell and niece, Rena Duchi.

A visitation will be on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
