Donald Leroy "Donnie" Foddrill Jr.

Donald Leroy “Donnie” Foddrill Jr., 58, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at his home.

Born March 13, 1966, in Seymour, he was the son of Betty (Waltermire) Wilder. He married Cathy Hedges on March 5, 1988, at the Queensville Community Church in North Vernon; she survives.

Donnie worked as the store manager for Strickland Brothers in North Vernon. He was a member of Queensville Community Church. Donnie enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking and canning, watching television, and riding motorcycles. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family and his Indiana Heritage.

Surviving with his wife, Cathy, is his son, Jason Foddrill of North Vernon; his daughter, Haley (Justin) Mullen of St. Meinrad; sisters, Pauline (Lewis) Pates and Rose (Larry) Ashpaugh, both of North Vernon, Leona “Dee” Ellis of Scipio, and Betty Lou Dewitt of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Landin Foddrill, Alivya Foddrill, Paisley Thompson, and Khloe Thompson, all of North Vernon, and Evangeline “Evie” Foddrill of St. Meinrad.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Betty and Fred Wilder, and his sisters, Melody Griffith and Donna Foddrill.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Scott Chasteen officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Donnie to the Schneck Hospice.
