Donavon Dante Montell Booker, 23, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.
Born March 12, 1996 in Columbus, he was the son of Larry M. Booker and Amanda J. (Callahan) Carmichael; they survive.
Donavon graduated from Liberty Christian Academy in Seymour in 2013. He worked for Helix and SET Steel. He was a Pacers fan and enjoyed lifting weights, fishing, and off-roading in his Jeep.
He is survived by his father, Larry (Brandy) Booker of Seymour; mother, Amanda J. Carmichael of North Vernon; grandparents, Billy & Chriss Callahan of North Vernon, and Patricia J. Booker and Larry F. Rowe, both of Columbus; brothers, Jeremiah Byrum and Kyle Moxley, both of Columbus, and Marcus Booker of Seymour; and sisters, Madison Byrum of Mooresville, Desiree Booker, Nyaisa Bragg, Deja Banks, and Taryn Booker, all of Seymour, and Chloe Booker of Columbus.
A funeral service for Donavon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Larry Rowe and Dusty Williams officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
