Donna Sue Greer

Donna Sue Greer, 75, of North Vernon passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at her residence.

Born March 3, 1943, in Seymour, Ms. Greer was the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy Brown Bott.

Ms. Greer was a 1961 graduate of North Vernon High School and was employed as switchboard operator for over 25 years working in the administration office at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in North Vernon and formerly attended the First Baptist Church in North Vernon and a former member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority where she was a past president. Ms. Greer enjoyed listening to music, dancing, spending time with her grandchildren, and was a wonderful cook and cake decorator.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (John Kalill) Brooks of Bloomington; brother, Thomas (Patricia) Bott of North Vernon; sister, Beth (Larry) Sporleder of North Vernon; grandchildren, Kristian (Nikki Hill) MacDonald of Flatrock, Hannah (Nicolas Barrientos) Brooks of Columbus, Shelby (A.J. Hartwell) Brooks of Columbus and Samantha (Gavin Albert) Brooks of Elizabethtown; great-grandchildren, Carter Taylor and Konnor MacDonald both of Flatrock, Valerie and Juliet Barrientos and Henry Hartwell all of Columbus and aunt, Martha (Charles) Kramer of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Aaron Sporleder.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Riley Children’s Hospital.
