Dorothy Rosa Lee Baldwin, six-week-old daughter of Brianna and Trenton Baldwin, passed away at 3:13 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
Born March 4, 2026 at Kings Daughter’s Hospital in Madison.
In just the six weeks she’s been here she has left a huge impact on several lives. From family to doctors, nurses, and hospital staff to even strangers who only hear a glimpse of her story.
She was a feisty baby who let her presence be known, also a sweet loving girl who absolutely loved cuddles, naps and being read and sung too.
Surviving with her parents, Brianna and Trent Baldwin; are her siblings, Delilah Baldwin and Britain Baldwin; aunts Layla (Brian) Miller, Mars Purnell, Elisabeth Baldwin, and Kara Adams; uncle, Michael Purnell; grandparents, Chandal (Miller) and Dan Marcoux, Michelle and William Baldwin; and several other cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Purnell Jr.; great-grandfather, Warren Baldwin; great-grandmother, Cheryl Baldwin; great aunt, Tracey DeWitt; great-great-grandmothers, Diana (Nanny) Whitham and Edith Lucille Kelly.
A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Warren Lucas officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will follow in the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
