Douglas Ray Blair, 68, of Jennings County died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at his residence.
Born March 18, 1950, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, Mr. Blair was the son of Hermia Castle Blair and the late Rex Blair Sr.
Mr. Blair was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 serving in Vietnam. He worked for Hamilton Cosco and Golden Foundry in Columbus and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Hermia Castle Blair of Columbus, brother, Jerry Blair of Columbus and sister, Tasha Blair of Franklin; nephews, nieces and several good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Danny and Rex Blair Jr.; and sister, Judy Blair.
A funeral service for Mr. Blair will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, in the Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Madison with military rites. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Mr. Blair may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
