Earnest Daton Wilson, 59, of North Vernon, entered into his final rest on January 1, 2024, at his residence.
Born October 4, 1964, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ellen (Voip) Devine Fields and the late Charles Devine.
Earnest attended Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and worked maintenance for Decatur Plastics in North Vernon for 33 years. He enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, fishing, and metal detecting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Nick (Tiffani Stillinger) Wilson of North Vernon; daughters, Jennifer (Alan Fletcher) Wilson of Dupont; mother, Ellen (Alan) Fields of Indianapolis; brother, Chuck Devine of Indianapolis; sisters, Mitzy (Jay) Rosengarten of Avon, Dana Wilson, and Dena Wilson, both of Indianapolis; and grandchildren, Charlotte Wynn, Jacsen Wynn, Alanika Fletcher and Xander Fletcher, all of Dupont and Aubrey Wilson of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Devine and sister, Donna Wilson.
A funeral service for Earnest will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Michael Biggs and Mitzy Rosengarten officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. A burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Earnest through the funeral home to the Potter’s House in North Vernon.
