Edith LaVerne (Brooks) Bliton, 75, of North Vernon passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at her residence.
Edith was born August 5, 1945, to Thomas and Lula Brooks in Madison. She married Daniel Bliton on August 27, 1962, also in Madison; he preceded her in death. Together they had three boys, James, John and Jason.
She worked at Walmart in Columbus for 25 years and she had a love for birds, cats, going to the casino, going out to breakfast with friends, and spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include, her sons, John (Kelly) Bliton, of Madison and Jason (Jerri) Bliton, of North Vernon; grandchildren, Brandon Leep of Vevay, Daniel (Markita) Bliton of Edinburgh, Shawn (Alexandria) Bliton of Ft. Knox Kentucky, Brandie (David) Weisz of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, Amelia, Cayden, Jocelynn, Ellenor, & Emmett Bliton, all of of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Maci, Kaden, Sawyer, Lincoln, Lilly, Asher, Owen, Colton, Hunter, Blakely, and Arabella; and two siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parent; her husband; Daniel, her son, James; her longtime companion, Raymond Roland; and several siblings.
A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date in the Grandview Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service were entrusted with the care of arrangements.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Edith to the Epilepsy Foundation.
