Edith Helen Branham, 78, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at her home.
Born May 12, 1946, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late John Patrick and Edith V. (Kincaid) Quinlisk. She married Larry Norman Branham on March 16, 1984, at Weston Baptist Church of North Vernon; he survives.
Edith graduated from high school in Lafayette in 1964 and began working in the federal loan department at the Farmers Home Administration, retiring in 1996 after 25 years. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in North Vernon. Edith enjoyed going to the casino, playing Poker with her family, reading, and working puzzles.
Surviving with her husband is her stepdaughter, Janie (Earl) Taggart of North Vernon; brothers, Jim Quinlisk of Lafayette and Joe (Georgie) Quinlisk of Attica; and sister, Edna Bellah of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Thomas, and Robert Quinlisk; and sisters, Mary Myers and Anna Quinlisk.
A funeral service for Edith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Ancel Harden officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Tea Creek Cemetery in Lovett.
Memorial donations in honor of Edith may be made through the funeral home to Zion Baptist Church or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
