Edna Case Obituary

Edna Louise Case, 72, of Deputy, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.

Born August 21, 1948, in Madison, she was the daughter of William and Janet (Brinson) Thompson. She married Donald “Donnie” Case on January 18, 1969, in Deputy; he survives.

Edna was a homemaker, a babysitter, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Playing cards, bingo, fishing off the bank, and she loved hummingbirds.

Surviving with her husband, Donald, is son, Gregory Scott (Peggy) Case of Deputy; daughters, Regina (John) Craddock of North Vernon and Donetta (life partner, Mark Green) Case-Newland of Paris Crossing; brothers, Larry Thompson (Mary Kay) and Jackie (Twilla) Thompson, both of Madison; sisters, Carolyn Dean, Norma Jean (life partner, Briton Hunt) Thompson and Mary Alice (life partner, Steve Humphrey) Thompson, all of Madison, and Janice Faye Eggers of Belleview; sister in-law, Wanda Thompson of Madison; grandchildren, Ryan (Brooke) Chaille of Trafalgar, Heather (Shane) Howard and Steele Case, both of North Vernon, and Dustin (Joe Wagner) Branum of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren, Oakleigh Howard and Axel Howard, both of North Vernon, and Rhett Chaille and Ryker Chaille, both of Trafalgar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son; Shawn David Case; brothers, Robert Joseph “Bobby” Thompson and Harvey Lee Thompson; and brothers in-law, Billy Dean and Bobby Eggers. 

Cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
