Edna Eloise Egan, 79, of Crothersville, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, surrounded by family and friends at her residence.

Born January 26, 1947, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Speer) Biehle. She married Donald Buckner Egan, on June 19, 1965, at St. Mary’s Church in North Vernon Indiana; he preceded her in death on November 7, 2012.

Mrs. Egan attended St. Mary’s School in North Vernon. She retired from the Chrysler Lynch Road Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan, and sold Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Longaberger, Shackley, Rainbow Vacuum’s, Beauty Control, and Silvan Eve Jewelry. While in High School she worked for the Dairy Queen in North Vernon. Mrs. Egan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a crafter and enjoyed making stained glass, baskets, rosaries, jewelry, and crocheting.

Mrs. Egan is survived by daughters, Paula (Tim) Hartwell, of Crothersville and Freda (Douglas Laktonen) Egan-Laktonen, of Columbus; sons, Donald (Eva) Egan of North Vernon and Fred (Danielle) Egan of Indianapolis;  brothers, Charles Biehle of Montana, Andrew Biehle of North Vernon; sisters, Mary Catherine Matthews of Columbus, Freda Ann Henry of Scipio, and Leona Diane (Robert) Fenbers of Florida; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Ellington of California; grandchildren, Ciera Elise (Christopher) Good of California, Trenton Kyle Egan, Allison Michele (Tyler) Egan, and Samuel Foster Egan, all of Columbus,  and Linkin Donavon Egan of Missouri; and great-grandchild, Ellis Victoria Good of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter-in-law, Christy Egan; and sisters, Amy Ellington and Rebecca Biehle.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison at a later date.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Egan through the funeral home to Abate Region 7.

As we celebrate mom's life, we request that you bring something that Edna has given you. So that we hear the stories behind her handiwork. We can't think of a better way to remember our mom.
