Edra Halfacre, 87, of Deputy, passed away at 5:57 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at her residence.
Born December 4, 1932, in Hyden, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Daniel Boone and Boda (Morgan) Bowling. She married Edward Halfacre on April 7, 1950, in Leslie County, Kentucky; he preceded her in death on July 28, 2018.
Edra was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and sewing; she loved animals, especially her dogs.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Shawn) Halfacre of North Vernon, Billy (Rhea) Halfacre of Dupont, Bobby (Wanda) Halfacre and Steve Halfacre, both of Deputy; daughters, Janice (Steve) Day of Deputy, and Theresa (Matt) Hotek of Columbus; grandchildren, Daniel Halfacre II, Vicki Gains, Steve Edward Day, Ryan Day, Ashley Day, Mike Wooten, Brian Wooten, Ben Wooten, Molly Hotek, Daniel Halfacre, Joey Halfacre, Shelia Halfacre, Jesse Halfacre, Kim Halfacre, Bridgette Halfacre and Lisa Halfacre; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Floyce, Mary, Kurt, Vernon and Elmer Bowling.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, in the Lick Branch Baptist Cemetery in Deputy. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
