Edward "Neil" McIntosh

Edward “Neil” McIntosh, 86, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Born May 16, 1938, in Lovett, he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Schyler) McIntosh. He married Patricia Alice “Pat” Tomlinson on April 6, 1962, in Austin; she preceded him in death on August 14, 2003.

Neil worked for the Jennings Street Department, Indiana State Department of Transportation and for his dad at Eddie’s Garage in Commiskey. He loved working on cars, traveling to car shows and hunting.

Survivors include his son, Scott McIntosh of Commiskey; his daughters, Kimberly (Jerry) Wasson of Columbus and Stephanie (Jonathan) Phillips of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A funeral service for Neil will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Neil to the American Cancer Society or Schneck Foundation Hospice.
