Elizabeth Kay Crawford, 82, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:22 p.m. on January 9, 2024, at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg.

Born February 6, 1941, in Camby, she was the daughter of the late Paul Harold and Ruby Lee (Mann) Palmer. She married Connis Lee Crawford on June 22, 1958 in Monrovia; he survives.

Elizabeth was a 1959 graduate of Camby High School in Camby. She worked in production and machine operator for Hilex Poly in North Vernon for 23 years before retiring. She had previously worked in production for 10 years for Mallory in Indianapolis. Elizabeth enjoyed flower gardens, gardening, dancing, singing and was an Elvis fan.

Survivors include her husband, Connis Crawford of North Vernon; son, Connis Jackson Crawford of North Vernon; daughters, Carol (Estel) Smith of Seymour, Sherri (Will) Fairbrother, Loretta (Doug) Stott and Ashley (Liborio) Sebastion, all of North Vernon; sister, Maxine White of Tampa, Florida; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gilbert Palmer; and Alice Thompson and Barbara Poole.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned, and no services are to be held at this time. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Elizabeth through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
