Ermel Paul Prince

Ermel Paul Prince, 58, of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at his residence.

Born February 19, 1962, in Man, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ermel Prince and Audry Lee (Davis) Wooten. He married Barbara Duffy on August 27, 1996 in North Vernon; she survives.

Ermel worked for Kromet America, in North Vernon and had previously worked for S&S Pallet in Butlerville and Jen Acres in North Vernon. He enjoyed working on cars and hunting.

Surviving with his wife, Barbara, are his children, Paul Prince of North Vernon and Kayla (Glenn) Gibson of Mallory, West Virginia; brother, Jackie (Lisa) Prince of North Vernon; sisters, Tammy Prince of Logan, West Virginia and Amy (Sheldon) Ellis of Mallory, West Virginia; stepfather, Garland Wooten of Mallory, West Virginia; grandchild, Layla Gibson of Mallory, West Virginia; uncle, Hobart Wooten of Mallory, West Virginia; nieces and nephews, Amy Petro, Sara Fields, Jenny Tomblin, Michelle Davis, Rachel Thompson, James Thompson, Michelle Prince, Crystal Crecelius, Gregory Prince, Junior Prince and Stephanie Prince; and great nieces and nephews, Jayce, Maleigh, Corbin, Payton, Maci, Madison, Alexis, Joshua, Grayson, Adalynn Gibson, Ava Gibson, Addey Crecelius, and Caiden Crecelius.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Zendyl Prince.

In keeping with his family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.
