Ethel Frances Redicker, 94, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Traditions of Columbus facility in Columbus, IN.
Born February 1, 1932, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Clyde Guy and Geneva (Cardinal) Johnston. She married Clarence Redicker on June 21, 1949, in North Vernon; he preceded her in passing on October 15, 2000.
Ethel went to Zenas School and was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed baking, sewing, ceramics, raising flowers, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include great grandchildren, Jakeb Hatton of North Vernon, Jeslyn Hatton of Scipio, and Lindsay Michelle Hatton of Seymour; great-great grandchildren, Shon Fisher and Luna Malagon of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; daughter, Linda Lou Redicker, brother, Robert Johnston; grandchild, Melissa Lynn Meadows.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Brammer officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
