Flossie Jane Robbins, 90, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence.
Born April 21, 1928 in LaFollette, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Millard and Bertha Violet Boshears. She married Clarence Robbins on May 30, 1943 in LaFollette, Tennessee and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2000.
Flossie was employed at Cummins Engine Company in Walesboro for 10 years, working in Assembly. She enjoyed gardening, animals, clowns, cooking, and flowers.
Survivors include sons Art and Alan Robbins, both of North Vernon, Albert Robbins of Nashville, Indiana, and Joey (Melissa) Robbins of Greensburg; daughters Rana Thomas of North Vernon and Janice Ponsler of Butlerville; brothers Clarence (Anita) Boshears of Springfield, Ohio and Eddie Boshears of Alabama; sister Frances McCarty of Tennessee, ten grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant children, brothers Virgil, J.B., Nash, and Arnold Boshears, and sisters Florene Ford, Fontella Napier, Fay Ingram, and Florida Moore.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Bakers Forge Memorial Cemetery in Demory, Campbell County, Tennessee.
Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Our Hospice.
