Frances McClain

Frances McClain, 86, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on January 1, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born May 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Celia (Branch-Derry) McClain.

Frances worked with ResCare in North Vernon. She loved Elvis Presley and babies.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret McClain of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and her ResCare family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dwayne and Edmond McClain; and sisters, Nellie and Dorothy McClain and Mary Hawkins.

A service for Frances will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Frances through the funeral home to the donor’s choice of organization.
