Frances Marie “Franie” Sandlin, 70, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at her residence.
Born February 4, 1955, in Seymour. She was a graduate of Jennings County High School in 1973. She was married to Jack Sandlin Sr. for 54 years. They were married on March 2, 1971, at the Wesleyan Church in North Vernon; he survives.
Franie worked as a machine operator for NTN Driveshaft for 12 years before retiring in 2015 and had previously worked for Rose Acres Farms. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, raising goats, sheep and cows.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Sandlin Sr. ; sons, Jackie Dean (Kim) Sandlin Jr. of North Vernon, Chad (Christy) Sandlin of Seymour; daughter, Becky (Darrell) Beauchamp of Indianapolis; brother, Harold Hartwell Jr. of North Vernon; sisters, Sandy (Keith) Conrad of Elizabethtown, Marilyn (David) Brooks and Tressa (Damian) McGowan, both of North Vernon; sister-in-law, Cindy Hartwell of North Vernon; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold L. Hartwell Sr.; her parents, Albert and Minnie (Milliman) Waltermire; brother, Gary Hartwell; sister, Patricia Jean Hartwell; and sister-in-law, Vicki Lynn Hartwell.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon with the Rev. Dale Lucas officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
